File Submission Guidelines for Perfect Bound Books
Excellent articles on how to submit your files to make sure there are no problems or delays.
Always Remember (for Perfect Bound Books ONLY):
- COLOR & RESOLUTION: Use CMYK and a submit minimum 300 dpi
- BLEED: Add .125 inch bleed -- extending each side of the finished page size (that means .25 inches reflected in the height and width "custom" page size read in the PDF window)
- FILE TYPE: Submit one PDF file for your inside pages with the pages organized in page order (no layers, no spreads, & remember to embed your fonts)
- COVER: Ask us how much spine allowance. Add spine allowance to the Cover spread (inside and outside). Submit as a 2 page PDF.
- DO NOT: submit artwork with crop marks, trim marks, or printer marks. We will set those up for our presses.
- TIMING: Allow enough time to have your artwork reviewed and allow for potential delays (proofing, printing, and shipping).
